We’ve already said that a Multiplayer God of War 4 was actually in the works, and one relevant was that Santa Monica had posted listing jobs looking people for a multiplayer game, and then another person having in his LinkedIn profile a GoW 4 cinematic test.
This time, the UK magazine PSM3 has briefly described a new feature that could be included in God of War IV, that is, a co-op. To be more precise, they actually confirm that there will be two characters involved, dead Kratos and his dead brother Deimos, whose main objective will be to somehow find a exit door from the afterlife.
What are your thoughts on a co-op mode for the next God of War?. It definitely could be the feature that rebumps the franchise, since they could keep the gameplay intact, but if there are at least two people playing, each one with different moves and roles in the battle, it would be a game changer for the franchise.
somehow i think it will be awesome, but at the same time it will ruin the god of war that we all know and love, anyway let’s wait and see

i personally think it would be a welcome addition to have deimos as a comapatible playable character. the spartan brothers would make the ultimate tag team

kratos himself is a one man army…there is no need of multiplayer option….it will ruin the camera angles if co-op option will be added…!!! and also it will create sum in-game bugs….just want kratos and only kratos in his next journey…

It’s online co-op, so the camera angle works exactly the same way as if you were on a single player session.

Okkk….also I read today in a local newspaper that no Kratos in the GOW 4 and they will be releasing the teaser in february….
Lets hope Kratos returns…..

i agree, having two characters on screen means that they have to share the violence, when kratos could just slaughter everyone as it is. it adds a character, but divides the action, which could dull it down a bit, hopefully working on multi-player won’t take away from the single player experience that we all know and love.

I’m pretty tired of online ***. GOW is not an online game nor a co-op game. It will ruin the experience like many games have been ruined in the past. I really hope they don’t mess with the game. GOW does not need revamped, people love it for what it is, no reason to make a change like that.

NO! Hell NO! CO-OP on GoW……Just no. First of all I doubt Kratos needs any help escaping hades…again. And GoW is not a CO-OP friendly game. Imagine If you were about to kill a cyclops, the O symbol appears over its head, your adrenaline pumps your hands start to sweat, Kratos tuck rolls in front of the cyclops, then suddenly your partner initiates the sequence, Yoink! You just got kill jacked! GoW + CO-OP = NO! Besides GoW is that game where you dont have to compete with anyone because you know your good.

i think this would be another adventure for kratos and kind of intresting. of course we all know kratos is his own army and leader and don need no one to help him. thats why we all love this man. but this part of his brother the little we do know of him is because on part one. but they shouldve pick this part up along time ago amd made a story eith this. but since they got this link now on kratos brother this should be intresting and a twist how this turns out to be when kratos sees his younger sibling came to be..

I am a big fan of the game god of war, i will like the idea of co-op but i think if its ok with everybody? Let the dead kratos look for deimos his dead brother in the after life which will lead to the option of a multiplayer game i think that will put some interest and understanding. Thank you

i do like the idea of multi player with diemos i do like playing the game on single player better iv completed the games several times because i really enjoy them…
i was watching a god of war 4 update and rumors said there might be a change in kratos and the story line what do we think

i don’t know why everyone’s getting all excited all these rumors are doing is creating hype. God of war 4 will not be released this sept why would sony change the way they do things. God of war games have ALWAYS been released in March. And why would Sony change the game???? God of war games are single player games. multi player would be kinda cool but at the same time it makes no sense. they should have the characters just play different misssions and camaigns.

It would be a good idea but what if im playing solo i don’t want some bot slowing me down usually games do have problems with bots the only thing i can hope for is if the two split up to cover more ground in the IV story but lets not speculate , luckily someone can make a Deimos bot without any technical difficulties
