God of War IV confirmed by Video Game Orchestrator Timothy Williams
Well, it really doesn’t get any better than this to confirm that GoW IV is coming. The following news is not a rumor,, since it has been confirmed by the source itself. The site Joystiq has found that Timothy Williams’s resume [his site is currently offline] includes GoW 4 as one of the projects he’s been working on. This person is better known for having created the orchestration for Dota 2 (besides films like the Halloween remake). The resume even remarks that this is an upcoming game from Sony Entertainment, so we are pretty much 100% sure this is the GoW sequel everyone’s talking about.
Joystiq contacted both Sony and Timothy Williams. Sony replied saying they “do not comment on rumors or speculation about our products”. However, Williams confirmed the listing as legitimate:
Timothy Williams confirmed the listing as accurate to Joystiq and explained that he is, “working on it in the capacity of orchestrations and some additional music,” but wanted to note that Tyler Bates is the “main composer” and should be listed as such. Bates had yet to return request for comment as of this update.
PSM UK Magazine published a rumor a few days ago, saying that the next GoW will feature an online co-op mode, which includes Kratos and his brother Deimos.
Below you can see a screenshot from Timothy Williams’ resume, which clearly lists GOD OF WAR IV (upcoming) as one of the projects he’s worked/currently working.
