Here comes yet another rumour for God of War IV. This source, just like the GoW music composer and the multiplayer version mentioned by UK PSMag. Future Shop teased a chance of GoW IV being revealed at Sony’s retailer event after being asked on Twitter “God of War 4 announcement was coming “as a final maybe?!”, they replied “Great Question. (;”

The tweet was removed inmediately after (not fast enough for someone to take a screenshot).

Is Future Shop’s tweet on God of War 4 Reliable?

Well, this same retailer has also leaket the upcoming title LittleBigPlanet Karting, it also revealed through its twitter account the existence of a Move-compatible racing wheel and 3D support for Bioshock Infinite.

Check Future Shop’s tweet screenshot on the upcoming God of War IV below.

I guess all we can do is wait until Sony’s Destination PlayStation 2012 event arrives and check whether this rumour is true or not.

Well, it really doesn’t get any better than this to confirm that GoW IV is coming. The following news is not a rumor,, since it has been confirmed by the source itself. The site Joystiq has found that Timothy Williams’s resume [his site is currently offline] includes GoW 4 as one of the projects he’s been working on. This person is better known for having created the orchestration for Dota 2 (besides films like the Halloween remake). The resume even remarks that this is an upcoming game from Sony Entertainment, so we are pretty much 100% sure this is the GoW sequel everyone’s talking about.

Joystiq contacted both Sony and Timothy Williams. Sony replied saying they “do not comment on rumors or speculation about our products”. However, Williams confirmed the listing as legitimate:

Timothy Williams confirmed the listing as accurate to Joystiq and explained that he is, “working on it in the capacity of orchestrations and some additional music,” but wanted to note that Tyler Bates is the “main composer” and should be listed as such. Bates had yet to return request for comment as of this update.

PSM UK Magazine published a rumor a few days ago, saying that the next GoW will feature an online co-op mode, which includes Kratos and his brother Deimos.

Below you can see a screenshot from Timothy Williams’ resume, which clearly lists GOD OF WAR IV (upcoming) as one of the projects he’s worked/currently working.

[December, 30.]

We’ve already said that a Multiplayer God of War 4 was actually in the works, and one relevant was that Santa Monica had posted listing jobs looking people for a multiplayer game, and then another person having in his LinkedIn profile a GoW 4 cinematic test.

This time, the UK magazine PSM3 has briefly described a new feature that could be included in God of War IV, that is, a co-op. To be more precise, they actually confirm that there will be two characters involved, dead Kratos and his dead brother Deimos, whose main objective will be to somehow find a exit door from the afterlife.

What are your thoughts on a co-op mode for the next God of War?. It definitely could be the feature that rebumps the franchise, since they could keep the gameplay intact, but if there are at least two people playing, each one with different moves and roles in the battle, it would be a game changer for the franchise.
