God of War IV coming September 2012

First there was Sony Santa Monica Studios posting a job listing on Gamasutra, looking for an online developer to join their GOW team. Then it was the animator's leaked cv, which said a cinematic trailer for God of War 4 was tested. And last but not least, an insider revealed to PSM3 mag that the release date for GoW IV was september 2012. We hope the next leak will be a wallpaper or maybe a teaser trailer.

Fake GoW IV Announcement by Fake PS Mexico’s Facebook Page

Besides being really old news, the people beside the Fake PS Mexico Facebook page made some statements in spanish about God of War 4 that have been repeated endless times already by multiple sources.

As a user clearly says in twitter, this page is just a Fan Page (and has been taken down) not the official PlayStation Mexico Page, since there’s not even one for that country. The logo used as proof for the announcement is very well-known to be fake by GoW fans, who are constantly looking for news for the next installment of the franchise.

God of War Origins Collection for PS3

After so much expectations, GoW 4 was not announced at the E3. However, the franchise did got some love from Sony. Both Ghost of Sparta and Chains of Olympus will be available for the PS3, in a remastered version called God of War Origins: Collection. Do not expect new levels, weapons or characters, the game is exactly the same as in the PSP. What changes though, is the screen resolution and frames, with 720p and 60 per second respectively. The controls have also been modify to that of the PS3, and trophy support will be included. Below is the trailer that was shown on E3, you would expect Sony to do a better job, or at least produce a new entire cinematic for the presentation since this one in particular looks really bad, the gameplay itself looks much better though. The game is already available for pre-order at Amazon. Perhaps the most unexpected feature for the collection is the 3D mode, we’ll have to wait and see how that works.

God of War PSP Games heading for PS3

If you think that this is just a rumor, think again. July 7 is the date Sony Computer Entertainment Taiwan announced for the remastered versions of Ghost of Sparta and Chains of Olympus to hit the PS3 in Asia in both english and chinese languages, with HD format and improved graphics. Not the first time though, since GoW I and GoW II already made it to the PS3. Judging from the success it was, Sony will make it happen again it seems. The first blog to publish this news was the The Magix Box.
